Resident Services

Long-Term Housing

Sponsored residents may receive special assistance in securing long-term housing after completing the Transitions Program. Residents facing the greatest barriers to private market housing may be invited to participate in The Way Home--a specialized program that helps place clients in stable housing, either through Sponsors' Permanent Supportive Housing, or through one of New Man Transformation Program's affordable housing communities. Residents should contact their case managers to learn more.

Financial Assistance

A single unexpected expense can easily derail the reentry process. When one of these expenses, such as vital records or clothing or boots required for work, Sponsors invites clients to apply for emergency financial assistance. Clients must inquire through their case managers. Other community members on active supervision can inquire through their parole officers.

Sponsors Warehouse

The Sponsor's Warehouse is stocked wit food, personal hygiene house cleaning and some clothing and shoes light furniture, dishes and other kitchenware, eletronics, and many other home goods necessary to furnish a new apartment. These items are available, free of charge, to any current who has been approved for permanent supportive housing. Current clients may access the warehouse on designated days, must be approved by the case manager. During regular business hours. Graduated clients should contact warehouse staff to access goods and services.

Health Care

The Mobile Clinic/Van will provide service with brands that people are familiar with to make it the most comfortable experience it can be. We offer the following services:

  • Blood Pressure Check
  • Blood Sugar Check
  • EKG Checks
  • Referrals to Hospital
  • Dentistry

Bus Passes & Bike Shop

transportation access is crucial to the reentry process. To ensure indiiduals can make it to appointments, interviews ad workplaces, Sponsors provides bus passes---both to residets and clients on active supervision. Additionally, clients have access to the Sponsors Bicycle Recycler where they can acess refurbished bikes for use to and from appointments, work and twelve step meetings. Contact your case manager or parole officer to learn more. Clients will be responsible for the security of the bicycle;p the bike shall be returned to the bike shop immediately upon return to the facility.
